Sauti ya Mwanamke on Radio Ata Nayece
“Sauti ya Mwanamke” (Voice of a Woman) is a radio show organized by Internews covering topics that are of interest for asylum seekers and refugees in Kakuma and Kalobeyei. On the show, a panel of experts from agencies working in Kakuma and Kalobeyei, government officials and asylum seekers and refugees discuss topics related to protection and health based on feedback received from the community.
You can listen to it every Saturday from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm at Radio Ata Nayece (90.1 FM or online here). The show is also repeated every Sunday from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Please tune and feel free to call-in or send an SMS during the show to get your concerns answered by sector experts.
Radio Talk Back Shows on Health and Protection at Radio Ata Nayece
With support from UNHCR, FilmAid Kenya will broadcast a series of interactive radio talk back shows on Radio Ata Nayece (90.1 FM) between the months of April to December 2021 from 7:30 to 8:30 am (dates will be confirmed closer to the time) to cover a range of topics including:
- Health related discussions on malaria, cholera, COVID-19 and mental health
- Issues related to sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) and the 16-days of activism against SGBV (Nov-Dec 2021)
- Celebratory topics and discussions around World Refugee Day (20 June 2021), Day of the African Child (16 June 2021) and International Human Rights Day (10 December 2021)

Radio Talk Back Shows and Dramas on Food and Nutrition at Radio Ata Nayece and REF FM
With support from WFP, FilmAid will run a series of radio talk back shows and radio dramas between the months of May to December 2021 to discuss with the experts key issues around nutrition, food safety, market food prices, consumer/trader responsibilities and disseminate information about the Dalili and Matjari mobile phone applications. Those shows will be broadcasted on Radio Ata Nayece (90.1 FM) and REF FM (88.4 FM) as per the following schedule:
- Radio talk back shows on Radio Ata Nayece from 7:30-8:30 am (dates will be confirmed closer to the time)
- Radio talk back shows on REF FM from 4:00-5:00 pm (dates will be confirmed closer to the time)
- Radio Drama shows on REF FM on Tuesdays and Thursdays (with a re-run on Saturdays and Sundays) from 7:10-7:25 pm. Radio drama shows will be broadcasted in English, Swahili, Somali, Arabic, Anyuak and Nuer.
