Points of Safety are municipal-led support and integration centers for refugees and foreigners in Slovakia. The centers operate in close partnership between municipalities and civil society organizations, which jointly ensure the provision of services.
The centers provide:
➡ Accurate and up-to-date information
➡ Assistance with access to healthcare, education, social support and services, housing, and employment
➡ Community activities
➡ Additional services depending on the possibilities in the given location
The centers cooperate within the Point of Safety Network coordinated by the Union of Cities of Slovakia with technical support from UNHCR. Several of these centers were previously known as Blue Dots.
