Health Care

Attention! All services and assistance of UNHCR and its partners are free of charge!

If you have a chronic disease such as diabetes, asthma, hypertension or heart disease, make sure to request a summary of your medical report and the prescribed medication you take from your health care provide in Lebanon before you travel. You will need to show these documents to a health care provider in Syria to continue the right treatment there.

You can approach the nearest Primary Health Care Center or UNHCR Reception Center to check if your children are up to date with their vaccinations. Children up to 18 years of age can receive required vaccinations free of charge at either location. Make sure to bring and have their vaccination booklets updated.

Make sure to bring your medical pregnancy report from Lebanon with you to Syria as well as a supply of your supplements (folic acid etc.). In Syria, please approach the nearest community center for referral to maternity and child health care services.
