To maintain an active UNHCR file and continued access to services and assistance, all refugees known to UNHCR in Lebanon must confirm their presence in the country by following the instructions and timeframe in the SMS received from UNHCR with a link (lb.myunhcr.id) to My UNHCR.
You can also log in directly to My UNHCR to check whether you are required to complete Presence Verification, even if you have not received an SMS. The portal will be accessible to all refugees targeted for the exercise. If required, you can also validate your Red Card through this portal.
Important: You must complete Presence Verification and Card Validation yourself and only while you are physically present in Lebanon. The process is free of charge. Do not pay anyone who claims that they can complete the verification for you, help you pass it, or influence the outcome.
Do not use photographs, videos, another person, or any other method to verify someone who is outside Lebanon. If you have already returned to Syria, do not complete the process and do not return to Lebanon to do so.
If you need help, support is available through UNHCR’s National Call Centre at 04726111, Community Development Centres, and Outreach Volunteers.
UNHCR can detect fraudulent and irregular verification attempts. Any identified attempt may have serious consequences for your case, including closure of your file. Complete the process honestly, follow only official instructions, and never pay anyone to complete it on your behalf.
