Videos showing Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and Prime Minister Nawaf Salam allegedly announcing, “Lebanon’s decision to abolish the border with Syria and consider Syrians as Lebanese citizens.”
These claims are false.
Fact: The audios in these videos are fake and have been digitally fabricated. The manipulated videos are using older footage of both President Aoun and Prime Minister Salam, but those clips relate to entirely different situations.
