Between 13 January and 17 February 2026, UNHCR in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Affairs, UN agencies and NGO partners1, conducted a participatory assessment (PA) with recent arrivals of various ages and backgrounds and key informants across several governorates in Lebanon.
The aim of this structured dialogue was to understand the assets, capacities networks, coping mechanisms and community dynamics that can be leveraged for effective and sustainable protection responses to the priority concerns of recent arrivals. The findings help inform programmes and activities.
The report provides a summary of the feedback provided, especially around:
- Priority concerns, including profile specific insights
- Coping strategies
- Community dynamics, assets, skills, and capacities
- Situation of recent arrivals during the war
- Information needs and preferred information channels
- Plans for next 6-12 months
The report concludes with a set of recommendations that take into consideration feedback and suggestions from recent arrivals across AGD profiles.
