UNHCR and WFP’s 2023-2024 Cash Assistance cycle that started in December 2023 and was planned to last until October 2024 is extended by 2 months, through December 2024. This means that if you have been receiving monthly assistance from UNHCR and WFP this year and your validation status is up-to-date, you are eligible to receive assistance for 2 additional months in November and December 2024. UNHCR and WFP will notify families of this extension via the September monthly loading SMS.

Follow this short guide!

After you call and verify your identity, you will reach the Main Menu. Press 2️⃣ – “Requests or appointments related to your UNHCR file”.

You will then be taken to the Service Menu. Choose the number corresponding to topic of your question from the list below and follow the instructions for assistance:

1️⃣ Request an appointment with UNHCR                    

2️⃣ Request a Bio Data attestation

3️⃣ Report a lost or damaged certificate or barcode

4️⃣ Transfer your file to a UNHCR office in your area after moving to a new governorate

5️⃣ Close your UNHCR file

6️⃣ Report a change of address, death of a family member, report a family member returned to Syria or a third country, or ask about UNHCR’s use of personal data

7️⃣ Report lost personal documents (national identity card, family booklet, civil extract)

Apply now to become a DAFI scholar at the Lebanese International University for the academic year 2024/2025! The deadline to apply is August 22, 2024.

To access the application, please visit the UNHCR Tertiary Scholarship Program Online Platform. Note that you will need to create an account and log in to complete and submit the application through the platform.

⚠️ Eligibility Criteria:

To be considered for the DAFI scholarship program, you must:

• Be known to UNHCR,
• Have a legal residency permit,
• Be 22 years old or younger at the start of the 2024-2025 academic year,
• Hold a Lebanese high school diploma or its equivalent obtained in Lebanon,
• Have a high school average and official exam grades above 13/20,
• Not have a university degree,
• Not currently enrolled in any university or benefiting from another scholarship program,
• Choose a major covered by the DAFI scholarship program that can be completed within 3 academic years,
• Not have any siblings currently benefiting from DAFI,
• Demonstrate a strong motivation to contribute to your community through leadership, supported by documents attesting to your achievements.
