This scholarship is available to university students from non-EU countries who are affected by armed conflict and violence and are in a vulnerable situation concerning their human, economic, and social rights. The scholarship covers the 2024-2025 academic year and includes tuition for a transition course (which includes Spanish and Catalan language and Human Rights courses) as well as comprehensive support.
🔍Eligibility criteria:
- Be a refugee or in a refugee-like situation, as defined by UNHCR.
- Be in a vulnerable situation regarding human, economic, and social rights, with supporting evidence.
- Have no prior knowledge of Spanish or Catalan.
- Be aged 26 or younger at the application deadline.
- Have completed university studies or hold a degree that allows access to a University of Barcelona master’s degree or the last two years of a University of Barcelona-specific bachelor’s degree.
- Apply for admission to a University of Barcelona master’s program or the last two years of a bachelor’s program, excluding affiliated centers and degrees in Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, and Psychology.
- Demonstrate a commitment to social justice.
