Scammers pretending to work for UNHCR or other humanitarian organizations continue to contact refugees through phone calls, WhatsApp, and social media platforms, promising resettlement in exchange for money or services.
Some fraudsters also use the UNHCR logo, share fake success stories, or post photos and testimonials to make their offers appear genuine. Please do not initiate any contact with such individuals or entities through any platform.
Remember: Resettlement services and all humanitarian aid are free of charge.
Be alert: Keep personal information and identification documents safe and confidential. Only share personal information with trusted aid agencies and authorities if asked.
