If you are granted refugee status, you can obtain a Convention Travel Document valid for two years, renewable for an equal duration. Children under 16 years old will have their details included in the parents’ travel document. In case the parent expresses such a desire, a separate Convention Travel Document can be provided to each member of a family, regardless of the age of the given family member. This will enable avoiding additional complications when the parent and the child are in different locations, and it is necessary to present a personal identification document.
You can apply to Passport and Visa Department of the Migration and Citizenship Service for issuing a Convention Travel Document with the decision recognizing you as a refugee. You will be required to submit a written application, along recognizing you as a refugee, and provide two colour photos (35×45 mm).
In case of loss of the Convention Travel Document, you should inform the MCS within 10 days. If the Convention Travel Document is lost in a foreign country, you should inform the RA diplomatic representation or consular service (Embassy).
