UNHCR Suceava Field office closure

UNHCR will close its Suceava field office on 31 August, 2025. However, we will continue to support forcibly displaced persons in the region. The UNHCR Country Office in Bucharest will take over services across Romania, maintaining protection and assistance in partnerships with national and local authorities, as well as with organizations like CNRR, World Vision and other relevant partners including Refugee-led Organizations.

UNHCR will utilize its national hotline, conduct focus group discussions, and maintain active feedback and complaint mechanisms to keep the communication with the refugees and other forcibly displaced people living in Romania. Important updates will also be promptly shared on UNHCR’s Telegram channel and Help webpage.
