What kind of protection services are available for vulnerable persons returning to Syria?⬇️
If you have experienced violence or are afraid someone might harm you or you have specific needs, for example, because you have a disability or you are over sixty years of age, you can access assistance and support through UNHCR Syria, NGO partners and community structures.
UNHCR operates Community Centers in many locations in Syria, where different services are available. These include services for children and adults experiencing harm, such as psychosocial support and referral to medical services and much more.
For information on available services and assistance in Syria, contact a community center in Syria: unhcr.org/sy/cc
For people who have experienced gender-based violence in Syria, you can also contact the Family Protection Unit managed by UNFPA who can link you to psychosocial support, legal advice and medical support.
