📢 Call for Applications – opportunity for Syrian refugees in Lebanon to pursue higher education in Japan🎓

Apply now for post-graduate studies in Japan for the academic year 2025-2026 through the Japanese Initiative for the Future of Syrian Refugees (JISR) offered by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

To be considered, applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:

✅ Be a Syrian national living in Lebanon and known to UNHCR (have a UNHCR certificate or barcode),

✅ Hold a bachelor’s degree or currently be in the final year of an undergraduate program,

✅ Be between 22 to 39 years of age (as of 1 September 2025),

✅ Be proficient in English.

⚠️ Attention: Candidates are invited to submit their applications in secured ‘drop boxes’ at UNHCR reception centers between 8 AM to 2 PM, Monday through Friday (excluding holidays). Youth residing in the south of Lebanon should submit their application at the UNHCR reception center in Mount Lebanon, Beirut. To avoid crowds, we recommend going in the afternoon. Personal presence is not required – any trusted persons can submit your application on your behalf. Please do not submit applications to the guards.
