Communities, organizations, and individuals in third countries often desire to get involved in refugee solutions. Sponsorship pathways allow communities to enact their powers and assist many refugees to start a new life in their countries.
Sponsorship pathways permit individuals and groups to bring refugee individuals or families to their countries while supporting their travel, initial settlement, and integration into the local community. Sponsorship pathways often depend on the financial, emotional, and social capacity of the sponsors, be it individuals or organizations.
UNHCR does not nominate individuals or families for sponsorships and cannot influence or interfere with the sponsorship process in any way.
Available sponsorship pathways include the Canadian Sponsorship Programme, the United States Welcome Corps Sponsorship Programme, and the Australian Special Humanitarian Sponsorship Programme.
