
The AFAD Association, in partnership with UNHCR, promotes equal opportunities, combats gender-based violence, and improves the living conditions of vulnerable populations through access to education, health care, and social protection.
What services does AFAD provide?
Education Project:
- Support for refugee and asylum-seeking children with school enrollment and re-enrollment.
- Distribution of school kits and material assistance to promote access to education.
- Monitoring of students’ attendance, participation, and academic performance.
- Guidance and support for students’ integration into the DAFI scholarship program.
- Awareness-raising among families on the importance of education and the fight against school dropout.
- Specific support for children in vulnerable situations (disability, school dropout, or adaptation difficulties).
Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Project:
- Psychosocial support for survivors of gender-based violence.
- Referral to specialized medical, social, and legal services.
- Provision of a safe space (shelter) for women and children at risk.
- Individual follow-up and case management for GBV survivors.
- Awareness and prevention sessions for women, families, and communities.
- Emergency intervention in cases of violence, abuse, or serious threats.
