Coursera: Free Online Training

If you have applied for asylum in Spain, the Coursera-UNHCR Program provides you with free access to more than 12,000 online courses.

Coursera is a digital platform that offers courses from prestigious universities and educational institutions worldwide. Coursera collaborates with over 350 leading universities from 25 countries and is the largest provider of open online education, with more than 24 million students globally. All training programs are official and provide a certificate that validates the knowledge acquired.

Thanks to an agreement with UNHCR, the platform offers free training to refugees, asylum seekers, and stateless individuals.

If you wish to receive information from UNHCR about other programs of interest for refugees, asylum seekers, and stateless individuals in Spain, sign up for UNHCR’s Newsletter for Refugees, here.

Enrollment Requirements:

Asylum seekers or stateless individuals, those with refugee or stateless status, subsidiary protection, temporary protection, or residence for humanitarian reasons in Spain, can access this opportunity free of charge.

To benefit from this resource, you must:

  • Have documentation proving your asylum/statelessness application or the protection granted in Spain.
  • A personal email address.
  • Internet access.

UNHCR Spain processes new registrations monthly, so it may take several weeks to receive the confirmation email.

Only applications from individuals who meet the program requirements will be processed.

If you have trouble accessing the form, please contact us at: [email protected].
