General Information
The Republic of Slovenia is a state located in Central Europe, bordering Italy in the west, Austria in the north, Hungary in the northeast, Croatia in the southeast and the Adriatic Sea in the southwest. It has a population of more than 2 million people. The capital and the largest city is Ljubljana. The official language is Slovenian. Slovenia is a member of the United Nations, European Union, and NATO.
