Contact us

All services provided by UNHCR and partners are free of charge.

If you are seeking asylum in Indonesia, you must first register with UNHCR.  Registration is the process by which UNHCR records, verifies, and updates basic information about you and your family members. You can refer to this Registration page for further information.

UNHCR has a field presence in four provinces – Aceh, North Sumatera, Riau, and South Sulawesi – and an office and reception center in Jakarta.

FIELD LOCATIONS

Please note that UNHCR does not have reception facilities available in field locations and is unable to meet with refugees and asylum-seekers in its offices. UNHCR staff regularly visit refugees where they are residing in Aceh, North Sumatera, Riau, and South Sulawesi and remain available for urgent and emergency concerns through the various hotlines that have been established and through referrals from partners.

If you are living in one of the following provinces, please contact UNHCR at either the hotline or email address listed below. Due to resource limitations, UNHCR does not respond to phone calls. Refugees and asylum seekers are strongly advised to send a WhatsApp message to the hotline, detailing the concern. UNHCR staff will monitor those messages and will respond to actionable requests and to queries that are not already addressed in the UNHCR Indonesia HELP website.
