Health assistance

All asylum seekers and refugees have access to low-cost primary health care at your local Community Health Centre (PUSKESMAS) managed by the Government of Indonesia. Any costs incurred from use of this service must be paid by refugees or asylum seekers themselves.

UNHCR Indonesia provides direct health assistance though Church World Service (CWS), however only for emergency and life-threatening conditions that need a referral to specialists and hospitalization. The costs covered depend on eligibility criteria and CWS does not cover all medical treatment costs. Please be sure to consult CWS before visiting the specialist or hospital to check if the treatment is covered by them.

You may contact CWS Health Hotline for more information on: 📞 +62 811 8161 511
