On the Refugee.Info website, you can find info on topics such as the asylum process, legal rights, healthcare, education, work and many more, including services available in Greece by organizations that offer assistance and support. The goal is to address the information gap that often exists for refugees, provide support, help people access services, and exercise their rights.

These two Guides list service providers for asylum seekers and refugees staying respectively in Athens and Thessaloniki, and are the product of a cooperation between UNHCR, Refugee.Info and, for Athens, ACCMR. The organizations listed in this guide offer free assistance. Services include medical care, social counselling, psychological support, care and hygiene services, legal aid, meals, shelter, material aid, education, services for people living with ΗΙV/AIDS, as well as services for people discriminated against due to their gender identity/expression and/or sexual preference.

This lexicon has been made for you. It is aimed at assisting refugees and migrants who are in Greece. Please keep it with you. You may use it to facilitate your communication with Greek people who are in contact with you, in order to request general information, as well as information on matters related to living conditions, food, health, and protection. Special chapters are included for women and unaccompanied children.

The present edition of the mini lexicon introduces new vocabulary in relation to public services, education, lifestyle and culture in Greece, which will help with your access to services and your integration in the social environment.
