UNHCR Georgia’s Office Relocation from 1st January
In connection with the office relocation, from 22 December to 13 January, individuals seeking consultations may approach our partner World Vision’s office, located at 67b Zhiuli Shartava Street. During this period, UNHCR can also be reached through the hotline and email indicated below:

From 13 January onwards, UNHCR will resume consultations at the new office on Tengiz Abuladze Street 25, as usual, between 9:30 and 17:00.
How to reach UNHCR’s new office
Public transport: Several bus routes serve the surrounding area (including 531, 345, 540, 311, 354, 359, 351, 301, 512, 540, 383, 307, 345, 309, 388). Important Information for Those Considering Applying for Asylum in Georgia

As of October 27, 2025, individuals wishing to apply for asylum in Georgia, obtain obtain or submit documentation from/to the Migration Department should now approach the Martkopi Reception Center at the following location – https://maps.app.goo.gl/6hCT67yjxXgcrEjD9
From 1 October 2025, new Law on International Protection entered into force, which governs refugee status and subsidiary protection – საერთაშორისო დაცვის შესახებ | სსიპ ”საქართველოს საკანონმდებლო მაცნე”
The new law introduces several changes to the asylum procedure. Among them are differentiated processing tracks based on criteria set out in the law, shorter appeal timeframes, and changes to access to legal aid and protection from removal—depending on which specific procedure an application is assigned to.
