Refugees can receive legal assistance in the camps through UNHCR’s partner organizations: Bangladesh Legal Aid and Services Trust (BLAST) and Bangladesh Rural Advancement Committee (BRAC).
These organizations offer the following services:
- Individual legal advice and counselling
- Legal intervention at police stations upon arrest or detention
- Court representation
- Mediation support
- Group sessions on legal awareness
- Facilitation of prison visits to detained family members

All legal services provided by humanitarian actors in the camp are free of charge!
