Who are children at risk?
Children at risk are at heightened risk as a result of exposure to risks in the wider protection environment and/or risks resulting from individual circumstances. Children at risk include unaccompanied and separated children (UASC), as well as other children facing violence, exploitation, abuse or neglect.
What are the risks they face?
Children may be at risk of neglect, child labour and exploitation, gender-based violence such as child marriage, child sexual abuse, early pregnancy, child trafficking, school dropout, idleness, and substance abuse.
