What can you see in My Profile?
When you sign in to the portal and go to My Profile, you can view the following information recorded by UNHCR:
- Your personal details
- Your registration status with UNHCR
- Your address
- Any accounts you are managing on behalf of other family members or dependants
If you notice a mistake in this information, you cannot correct it yourself directly. Instead, you can request an appointment with UNHCR to update your records.
What can you do in My Settings?
In the My Settings section, you can manage your account and contact information:
- Login details: check the username you use to sign in
- Password: reset your My Services Portal password
- Two-step sign in: activate an authenticator app to make your account more secure
- Contact details: view your phone number and email address. You should confirm they are correct.
If your phone number has changed or is incorrect, you can update it directly in My Settings:
- Enter your new number
- Validate it by entering the one-time password (OTP) sent to your phone
- Save your changes
Your phone number will then be updated automatically in UNHCR’s database.
Why keeping your information accurate matters?
It is very important that the information shown in your profile is correct and up to date. This ensures that UNHCR can contact you when needed, share important updates about your case or services, and reach you quickly in urgent situations. If your personal or contact details are wrong or out of date, you may miss important messages or appointments. By regularly checking your information and keeping it accurate, you help UNHCR support you better.
