Integration

The Refugee Initiatives Map is an interactive visualization of several organizations that assist with the integration of refugees.

There are different Regional and Local Integration Centres in Belgium. They organize the integration process but some also offer services that cater to all migrants.

Regional Integration Centers in Wallonia

There are 8 regional integration centers on the territory of the Walloon Region: CAI, Ce.R.A.I.C., CIMB, CRIBW, CRIC, CriLux, CRIPEL, CRVI. They are all supported and advised by DisCRI (Dispositif de concertation et d’appui aux Centres Régionaux d’Integration de Wallonie).

Integration Agency in Flanders

For Flanders, the Agentschap Integratie & Inburgeringis the Flemish governmental agency which provides assistance with regards to integration, civic integration and orientation to Dutch classes. For more information on how to contact the agency: see general services.The agency is active in 70 locations in six regions of Flanders and Brussels, except in Antwerp and Gent, which have their own Integration Centres:

Atlas Integratie en Inburgering Antwerpen

Atlas provides information and guidance to migrants with legal stay and organizations supporting them, in the city of Antwerp. For more information (in Dutch, English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Polish and Romanian) visit this site.

In Gent provides information and guidance to migrants with legal stay and organizations supporting them, in the city of Gent. For more information visit this site.

Bureau d’accueil pour primo-arrivants Bruxelles (BAPA)

In Brussels, there are three integration centres, more precisely BAPA Bxl, BAPA Convivial (see general services) and BAPA VIA.  These centres offer free French courses.
