Voluntary Return

ALL services provided by UNHCR, including resettlement, are provided for FREE.

What is Voluntary Return and how does it work?

Voluntary Return or Repatriation is the return of any refugee to their country of origin based on a free and informed choice. Many refugees prefer to return to their country of origin as soon as they no longer fear persecution.

The voluntary return should always happen in safety and dignity and be based on an informed decision.
