Returning to Ukraine or moving forward

➡️ Can I travel to Ukraine and come back to the Czech Republic without my legal status or benefits being affected?

With a valid temporary protection visa and a valid passport, you can travel within the Schengen area and to Ukraine. Temporary protection does not end when you travel for a longer period, but trips longer than 10 working days may affect other areas of your stay in the Czech Republic (for example: state humanitarian accommodation, provision of humanitarian benefits or a place at the schools your child attends).

➡️ Can I travel to another EU member state without losing my temporary protection or tolerance visa?

With a valid temporary protection visa and a valid passport, you can travel within its duration within the Schengen area and to Ukraine.

A tolerance visa (leave to remain) issued in connection with the war in Ukraine nor the temporary protection visa do not expire upon departure from the territory of the Czech Republic.
