Office for Provision of Free Legal Aid:

Office for Provision of Free Legal Aid works under the Ministry of Justice of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In accordance with the obligations that Bosnia and Herzegovina have under international conventions, the Office for Provision of Free Legal Aid assists persons on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina under international protection, in particular asylum-seekers, refugees, persons under subsidiary or temporary protection, persons under expulsion, stateless persons, and victims of trafficking in human beings.

All persons, are entitled to general information on rights, obligations and assistance in completing forms/applications for the exercise of the right to free legal aid based on the Law on the Provision of Free Legal Aid.

Application for free legal aid

The application for the exercise of the right to free legal aid in the proceedings before the authorities and institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina is submitted on the office form.

Complete a request

In addition to the application for the exercise of the right to free legal aid, the applicant must attach proof of the fulfilment of the conditions as stipulated by the Law on the Provision of Free Legal Aid.

Persons under subsidiary or temporary protection, refugees, stateless people and victims of trafficking in human beings shall, with the request, attach appropriate documents from the competent authority confirming their status.
