An application for asylum can be submitted in the territory of Sweden. If you are arriving in Sweden by a port of entry (an airport, land border crossing check point or seaport), tell the border police that you want to apply for asylum. The border police will ask you some questions and will refer you to the Swedish Migration Agency where you can hand in your application.
If you are already in Sweden and would like to apply for asylum, you should approach the Swedish Migration Agency at their offices in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö. You can find the addresses and opening hours of these offices on the website of the Swedish Migration Agency (click on “Apply for asylum”). You do not need to make an appointment to apply for asylum.
