About UNHCR in Sweden

UNHCR works to protect the rights and support better futures for asylum-seekers, refugees and those at risk of statelessness in Sweden.

In Sweden, the Swedish Migration Agency is fully managing the processing of asylum applications. UNHCR supports the Government in executing their duty in line with international and European standards and does not register asylum-seekers, nor deal with individual cases directly.
