What is TNG eWallet? 

TNG eWallet, operated by TNG Digital Sdn Bhd, is a digital wallet that makes managing your money convenient and secure. With TNG eWallet, you can store funds, make payments, and transfer money both locally and internationally—all in one app.

Registration is free and open to individuals aged 12 and up. You can also apply for the Touch ‘n Go eWallet Visa Card for just RM15 (including delivery).

Linked directly to your eWallet, the Visa card lets you make payments and withdraw cash from ATMs effortlessly.

Who can register for TNG eWallet? 

  1. Individuals registered with UNHCR, holding a UNHCR ID card or an Under Consideration (UC) letter with 6 months validity 
  1. People aged 12 and over 

 Benefits of using TNG eWallet 

A verified TNG eWallet account holder will be able to access the following services: 

  1. Holds up to RM5,000 
  1. Cash withdrawals and payments with Touch ‘n Go eWallet Visa Card (The Visa card can be purchased through the TNG eWallet app) 
  1. Send and receive money digitally to and from any bank account in Malaysia 
  1. Top up your mobile prepaid credit 
  1. Pay your utility bills 

  • Make sure to use your own email address, address, phone number and UNHCR ID when signing up for TNG eWallet.
  • Please write your full address, including the house unit number as per your utilities bill. This is to ensure that your TNGD Visa Prepaid Card can be delivered directly to your house
  • Do not use UNHCR’s contact information and email address during the registration process.
  • Do not use another individual’s ID to sign up for TNG eWallet app
  • Make sure to upload a clear photo of your UNHCR document without glare, reflection, or shadow to ensure a smooth verification process
  • A full photo of the UNHCR document is needed, including QR code, your full name, UNHCR ID numbers and everything on the UNHCR document. A photo of only the QR code will not be accepted
  • Make sure you are not wearing anything that covers your face while taking the selfie for selfie verification, such as a face mask or sunglasses

Register and verify your account with simple steps

1Download and install

Download and Install TNG eWallet App via Apple App Store, Google Play Store or Huawei AppGallery,

2OTP Code via SMS

Enter your own mobile number to receive the OTP code via SMS.

3Secure your account

To secure your account, create a 6-digit PIN, select security questions and input your answer. Remember your responses and PIN number, and do not share the PIN, security questions and answers with someone else.

4Personal information

Key in your personal information as stated on your UNHCR ID.

REMINDER: Make sure to use your own email address, address and phone number and UNHCR ID when signing up for TNG eWallet. Do not use UNHCR’s contact information or other persons’ information during the registration process.

5Successfully Registered

You have successfully registered with a TNG eWallet with RM200 wallet size. To increase the eWallet size to RM5,000, you will need to verify your account through the following steps.

6Verify your account

To verify your account, click on ‘Not verified’ icon on your profile.

7Select UNHCR ID

Select UNHCR ID as ID type. Upload a photo of your UNHCR ID card or UC letter and click submit.

REMINDER: Make sure the photo is clear with no glare, reflection, or shadow to ensure a smooth verification process. Please take a full photo of the UNHCR document and not just the QR code.

8Selfie verification

Proceed to selfie verification by taking a selfie.

REMINDER: Make sure you are not wearing anything that covers your face while taking this selfie, such as a face mask or sunglasses.

9Verification process

Fill in more details and submit. Your account verification is now pending approval.

NOTE: The verification process will take 5 or more working days to complete after submission.

10Successful verification

If your account verification is a success, your eWallet size will increase to RM5,000. You are also now eligible to apply for the Touch ‘n Go eWallet Visa Card.

NOTE: If your account verification request is rejected, it is typically due to reasons such as an invalid UNHCR ID or unclear documents. To proceed, please restart the verification process by submitting a valid UNHCR ID with at least 6 months’ validity.

Touch‘n Go eWallet Visa Card

Your Touch ‘n Go eWallet Visa Card is linked to your TNG eWallet, allowing you to make payments at any location that accepts Visa. The payment amount will be deducted from your eWallet balance.

You can also withdraw money at any Visa-enable ATM with the Visa logo.

Applying for the Touch ’n Go eWallet Visa Card is easy – simply use the TNG eWallet app.

Users with suspicious activity on their eWallet are at risk of being locked out of their eWallet.
