Chin who wish to work in Malaysia as migrant workers after voluntarily repatriating to Myanmar may apply to do so under Malaysia’s program for foreign workers.
The Malaysian Government allows for foreign migrants to work in six different sectors. Under the foreign workers scheme, workers are sourced from 15 countries. These are: Thailand, Cambodia, Nepal, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, Philippines, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, India, Indonesia and Bangladesh.
