UNHCR Iran provides counseling services through experienced psycho-social counselors.
To use this service and get appointments, please contact your nearest UNHCR office to be assessed and referred for psycho-social support.
UNHCR has limited capacity for this counselling service and priority to receive it will be given to highly vulnerable cases. Thanks in advance for your patience!

If you are in need of psychosocial counselling or dealing with suicidal thoughts, feelings, or intentions, you can contact the following numbers
- 123: is the national social emergency line, run by the State Welfare Organization and provides counseling services 24/7, free of charge ,
- 1480: is run by the State Welfare Organization and provides free-of-charge phone psychological and counseling services seven days a week from 8:00-24:00.
- 4030: is run by the Ministry of Health and provides free-of-charge phone psychological and counseling services among counselling on other health-related issues.
- 1570: run by the Ministry of Education is a specialized helpline for the provision of psychosocial counseling to school students, seven days a week from 8:00-20:00
- 021 54467000: is a suicide crisis line that provides free and confidential emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress seven days a week from 14:00-24:00
