If your marriage took place after your asylum application or if your children are the result of a union after the application for protection, you can apply for family regroupement (reunification), which is a procedure allowing a foreign national regularly settled in France, to be joined by family members (spouse and minor children). The request is made to the OFII.
Family reunification is subject to certain conditions:
- the applicant must have a regular residence of 18 months in France and provide with stable and sufficient reception conditions (minimum threshold of own resources and adequate housing);
- his/her spouse must be at least 18 years old on the date of submission of the application.
- minor children must be under the age of 18 and must have an established filiation with the applicant or his spouse.
