Kyrgyzstan 🇰🇬

All services and assistance provided are free of charge.

UNHCR works in the Kyrgyz Republic to support the Government in ensuring fair and quality asylum procedures, preventing and resolving statelessness, and protecting the rights of refugees, asylum-seekers, and stateless people in line with international law.

Together with NGO partners, UNHCR helps improve refugees’ access to social and economic rights, including the right to own a property, register businesses, and access to the social safety nets on par with the nationals.

If you need help applying for asylum, if your asylum application was rejected and you want to appeal, or if you are stateless and never had an identity document (such as a passport or ID card), UNHCR’s partners can support you.

For more details and contact information, please see the Contacts of UNHCR and partners in the Kyrgyz Republic section below.
