Together with the Council of Refugee Women in Bulgaria, UNHCR awarded certificates to participants of the programme “Successful Start in Bulgaria” — equipping asylum seekers and refugees with essential knowledge for active participation in Bulgarian society.

Every achievement is a step toward stronger communities and shared futures.

UNHCR Bulgaria is proud to support a campaign aimed at facilitating school enrolment for refugee children in Harmanli, Plovdiv, and Burgas for the 2025/2026 school year.

Building on past successful cooperation, UNHCR and the Ministry of Education jointly organized local coordination meetings with school principals, regional education authorities, and NGOs. These meetings focused on addressing operational and logistical questions and strengthening collaboration ahead of the new school year.

🧭 The meetings were hosted at our Compass Protection and Inclusion Centres, providing a space to exchange ideas and present available support services. Together, we aim to ensure every child has access to education and the support they need.
