How is UNHCR responding to the needs of refugees and asylum-seekers in the current situation?

UNHCR remains present in Sudan and continues to operate wherever it has safe access.

Due to the prevailing security situation, UNHCR has been forced to temporarily scale down some of its activities in Khartoum, the Darfurs and North Kordofan, where it has become dangerous to operate.

However, the offices in Kassala, Gedaref, Blue Nile , White Nile, Algazira and Northern states remain open and partially operational.
