How can I reach out to UNHCR?
UNHCR continues to be present in Sudan but due to the prevailing security situation and restrictions, UNHCR may not be able to access the refugee camps, open areas and settlements in some states. Where it is safe to do so, UNHCR and partners are working with local authorities for access to refugee camps and settlements and gathering sites.

How is UNHCR responding to the needs of refugees and asylum-seekers in the current situation?
UNHCR remains present in Sudan and continues to operate with partners wherever it has access. Due to the prevailing security situation, UNHCR has temporarily scale down some of its activities in Khartoum, the Darfurs and the Kordofans. Some services in the settlements in parts of Darfur and Kordofan are running although at limited capacity. UNHCR in Kassala, Gedaref, Blue Nile, White Nile, Port Sudan, and Wadi Halfa remain operational, and UNHCR and partners continue to provide protection and assistance in these areas.
