- You can stay in Korea until your application process is over.
- You can apply for Living Expenses Support from the government. If you are eligible, you will receive the financial support for 6 months from the date when you submit your refugee status application. Please click here for more information.
- You can work 6 months after you submit your refugee status application. You first need to find a workplace, and then apply for permission to work at a local immigration office. Please contact the Immigration Contact Center (dial 1345) for more detailed information.
- If you are eligible, you may be provided with a place to stay in the Immigration Reception Center for up to 6 months. The space at the Immigration Reception Center is very limited.
- Underage refugee applicants or underage children of refugee status applicants can receive the same level of primary and secondary education as Korean citizens.
