The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), in partnership with the Ministry of Indigenous Peoples (MPI), is launching a Call for Expressions of Interest for the Small Grants Program for Organizations Led by Indigenous Refugees and Migrants in Brazil.
The initiative recognizes the essential role of these organizations in strengthening communities, promoting local solutions, and valuing the culture of Indigenous peoples facing forced displacement.
Formal or informal, non-profit organizations located in the Legal Amazon (AC, AP, AM, MT, PA, RO, RR, TO, and MA) and led by Indigenous refugees, asylum seekers, stateless individuals, or those experiencing human mobility are eligible to participate.
Up to 5 organizations will be selected and will receive financial support of up to R$6,727.00 to implement quick-impact activities lasting up to 4 months.
