Due to the high number of Refugees and Asylum Seekers requesting protection counselling on Tuesdays, UNHCR Damascus is introducing an appointment system to better organize services and reduce waiting times.

How to book an appointment

To book a protection counselling appointment (Sunday to Thursday, 9:30 am to 3:00 pm):

·         Call 0992898196, or

·         Visit UNHCR reception desk at 14 Thabet Bin Qorra Street, Kafar Sousseh, Damascus, Syria.

Appointment rules

To avoid crowding and long waiting times:

·         Please come only with an appointment.

·         Arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before your appointment time.

·         Please note that UNHCR cannot guarantee same-day assistance without a prior appointment.

Urgent and highly vulnerable cases

Urgent cases will be prioritized. These include:

·         Detention

·         Risk of refoulement

·         Gender‑Based Violence (GBV)

·         Persons with disabilities (including wheelchair users or people with mobility difficulties)
