Asylum Procedure, Rights, and Obligations

As a signatory to the 1951 Convention relating to the Status of Refugees and its 1967 Protocol, North Macedonia has developed procedures for determining who is a refugee among those applying for asylum in the country. The administrative institution responsible for the asylum procedure is the Sector for Asylum, within the Ministry of Interior.
