Information and help on how to protect from the Coronavirus (COVID-19)

As of May 1 2022, Latvia has removed all COVID-19-related requirements for all travellers, even if they have not been previously tested, recovered from or vaccinated against COVID-19. The prohibition to travel to Latvia from a high-risk country does not apply to asylum-seekers.

All Latvian residents, including refugees and asylum-seekers, can get vaccinated for free in Latvia against COVID-19.  You can book a vaccination appointment by phone or obtain more information about vaccination against COVID-19 dialling 📞 8989, or book an appointment online (this latter option is only available if you have Internet banking or eSignature in Latvia).

Official information from the Latvian Government can be found on the official informative page about the spread of COVID-19 in Latvia (available in English, Latvian and Russian) and on the website of the Latvian Ministry of Health (available in Latvian, but you can use the automatic Google translator by choosing that option when you click with the right button).

The Latvian Red Cross provides safety information on COVID-19 to refugees and asylum-seekers in Arabic, Turkish, Dari, as well as in English, Latvian and Russian.
