Pregnant women

? Important! Pregnant women ?should have access to at least 5 checkups throughout pregnancy and the first one should be as soon as they know they are pregnant. Checkups help identify factors that can put pregnancy and newborn health at risk.

  • Call ?171 option 1 for free and make an appointment for pregnancy control.
  • For counseling on nutrition during pregnancy, call 171 option 2 from Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 7:00pm, and on Saturdays from 8:00am to 2:00pm.

? Remember! At each checkup, health staff should give you respectful and clear information about pregnancy care and danger signs.

Nursing women

? Remember! It is important for your baby ????to consumes only breast milk, or formula, during the first 6 months of life.

— If you are having trouble breastfeeding you can contact 171 option 2 from Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 7:00pm, and on Saturdays from 8:00am to 2:00pm and ask for advice on breastfeeding. You can also contact La Liga de la Leche via https://www.facebook.com/Laligadelaleche and attend their virtual support groups.
