UNHCR is NOT the organization responsible for the Food Voucher program. In very specific cases, UNHCR can support families and individuals at risk so that they can access humanitarian assistance. We assess each case individually to determine if it meets our criteria based on specialized interviews.

? My card is not active, what should I do?

Remember that the voucher is charged during the ?first 5 workdays of the month, between Monday and Friday. The voucher is valid for 6 months from the month you received assistance for the first time. If it is still within 6 months, the voucher is active, otherwise it must have been disabled.

? I have been informed that from a certain day I could use the food voucher, but I was unable to use it when making my purchases. How should I proceed?

Please contact the office of the organization that gave you the voucher (HIAS, Plan Internacional or Consejo Noruego para Refugiados [Norwegian Refugee Council]) by phone. These offices are closed due to the COVID-19 emergency but staff are providing phone assistance.

? I had an appointment for food aid related issues. Due to mobilization restrictions, what will happen to my appointment?

The organization that gave you your voucher (HIAS, Plan Internacional or Consejo Noruego para Refugiados [Norwegian Refugee Council]) is directly contacting by phone the people who had a scheduled appointment, so they don’t miss it. Please wait for the ?call.

? Can I make an appointment to renew my food voucher?

You can make an appointment by calling the HIAS, Plan Internacional or Consejo Noruego para Refugiados (Norwegian Refugee Council) phone numbers in your city and give them your data. They will call you back with the information to renew your voucher ?.

? When are the food vouchers going to be recharged?
