? Supporting Refugee Children’s Access to Education

UNHCR Bulgaria is proud to support a campaign aimed at facilitating school enrolment for refugee children in Harmanli, Plovdiv, and Burgas for the 2025/2026 school year.

Building on past successful cooperation, UNHCR and the Ministry of Education jointly organized local coordination meetings with school principals, regional education authorities, and NGOs. These meetings focused on addressing operational and logistical questions and strengthening collaboration ahead of the new school year.

? The meetings were hosted at our Compass Protection and Inclusion Centres, providing a space to exchange ideas and present available support services. Together, we aim to ensure every child has access to education and the support they need.

? Our circus arts activities with MiniArt continue to inspire! ?‍♀️✨

We’re thrilled to see our initiative featured by IOM Bulgaria, who shared about the joyful and inclusive atmosphere created at the Safe Zone in Ovcha Kupel.

This program, led by UNHCR Bulgaria in collaboration with MiniArt, brings creativity, connection, and community to young people and families.
