I am an internally displaced person (IDP) and was already enrolled for UNHCR cash assistance, but I did not yet receive it.

IDPs who were already enrolled but have not yet received their assistance within two – three weeks, will receive their payments on the condition that they have not benefited from MPC assistance from another organization.

Note: People who have already been supported by UNHCR and/or other humanitarian agencies are removed from the list after a verification conducted internally and with other humanitarian agencies providing MPC assistance. UNHCR will send an SMS to households, that have been assisted or will be assisted by other humanitarian organization.

I was found eligible for UNHCR regular cash assistance. While waiting to receive my assistance, I was impacted by a shock (such as shelling, attack, or evacuation). Am I eligible for both UNHCR rapid and regular cash assistances?

If you were waiting to receive your regular cash assistance but was impacted by a shock shelling/attack/evacuation), you are only eligible for UNHCR rapid cash assistance.

I received UNHCR rapid cash assistance three/two months ago. However, I am impacted by a recent shock (shelling/attacked/evacuation). Am I eligible for UNHCR rapid cash assistance?

If you benefited from UNHCR cash assistance and impacted by a shock (shelling/attack/evacuation), you are eligible for UNHCR rapid cash assistance. However, to ensure you are meeting the eligibility criteria, please contact the UNHCR hotline for more information about your individual situation.

I received UNHCR MPCA cash assistance. However, I returned to my place of permanent residence from within Ukraine. Am I eligible for UNHCR cash assistance for return?

If you benefited from UNHCR regular or rapid cash assistance and returned to your place of your residence, you are eligible for UNHCR cash assistance for return.

  • PLEASE NOTE: UNHCR is not currently promoting return to Ukraine or to place of your residence due to the ongoing international armed conflict. However, every person has the right to return to their country from abroad or to place of their residence and individuals may make personal decisions to return to Ukraine from abroad or to place of residence. Under the current circumstances, UNHCR advises it is important to make sure that decisions to return are well-informed and truly voluntary. For further information see UNHCR’s position here.

I was found eligible for UNHCR MPC assistance. How long will it take to receive my cash assistance?

If you are found eligible for rapid cash assistance, you will receive your assistance within 10 working days. However, for regular MPC and/or remedial payments, please expect longer than 10 working days, but not exceeding 22 working days. Please contact the UNHCR hotline for more information about your individual situation.

I was enrolled for both regular and rapid UNHCR cash assistance but have not received either. Am I eligible for re-payment for both types of assistance?

If you are found eligible for rapid and regular cash assistances, and you have not received the assistance yet. you are eligible for one payment during this period: rapid remedial payment only.
