2026 Migrant Registration Framework (MRF)

The Ministry of Homeland Security has announced the launch of the 2026 Migrant Registration Framework (MRF). This registration process applies to all undocumented migrants, regardless of nationality.

The exercise is conducted by the Ministry of Homeland Security, in collaboration with the Ministry of Defence.

Approved applicants will receive a Migrant Registration Card, which provides legal authorization to reside and work in Trinidad and Tobago until 31 December 2026.

The Ministry has reminded all undocumented migrants that participation in this registration window is required. Individuals who do not register within the established dates may face deportation.
