If you are a Syrian refugee currently residing in Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Iraq, or Türkiye and planning to return to Syria, your family may be eligible to receive a one-time cash grant of USD 400 from UNHCR Syria to support your reintegration.
This assistance is provided only once upon return into Syria.
Who is Eligible for the 400 USD Grant?
Only refugees who were enrolled in UNHCR registration and assistance database and were eligible for monthly basic needs cash assistance in host countries.

What You Must Do to Receive It:
Please make sure before you leave the country of asylum:
- You provide details of your Syrian national ID or a valid Syrian passport to UNHCR
- You update your contact number with UNHCR:
- If this is not a Syrian number, make sure WhatsApp is installed and active on it. UNHCR Syria will contact you from +41223550561 WhatsApp number to inform you when and where to collect your assistance if you are eligible.
What To Do After You Return?
- Check UNHCR Syria Help Page for updates.
- Visit UNHCR-supported Community Centre to get information on services/assistance available in your area of return.
- Make sure your phone is on, and WhatsApp is working — this is how UNHCR will reach you.
- UNHCR will inform you when, where and how to receive the cash assistance if you are eligible, once distribution is starting.
