Extension of UNHCR Verification Exercise

From 28 March to 5 April, UNHCR will extend the verification exercise to reach individuals whom we cannot contact through phone.

The exercise aims to verify the information of individuals who have approached our partners SHARP or SEHER for recording since 2021. The purpose of this verification is to update our records with contact information and details of family members who are remaining in Pakistan.

Until 5 April, verification will be conducted in person at the offices of our partners (SHARP and SEHER) as well as at various protection hubs.

For those interested in in-person verification, please note:

  • Only individuals who are eligible for verification (i.e. holding a valid reception slip and pending registration) but haven’t yet been verified by phone will be admitted and processed.
  • Only one person from your family shall approach for verification.

Once you approach the verification location, a staff member from UNHCR or one of our partners will admit you into the verification process, introduce themselves and seek your consent to verify the information of you and your family to update our records.

All UNHCR services are free of charge.
No staff member from UNHCR or our partners will ask you for anything in exchange for verifying your information.
